Step Up intervention
Aspire provides Step Up intervention as needed for students who require additional academic support, led by a dedicated intervention teacher.
Academics
A full course of study, built on the Bible.
Subjects at Aspire are selected with a view to enabling every child to develop into a whole child. In keeping with our Christian philosophy of education and the requirements of the State of Wisconsin, students receive a thorough education across every core area.
Curriculum
What we teach.
Not every subject is taught every day — the schedule rotates, and some courses are departmentalized or team‑taught. Teachers in all grades teach formal religion classes.

Homerooms, 2026–2027
Homerooms combine adjacent grades. Specialist teachers carry the upper‑grade subjects, so older students get a teacher devoted to each discipline.

How we measure progress.
Aspire strives for academic excellence. Our aim is for students to be at or above grade level in every subject, and to be genuinely ready before they move up.

Honor roll
Honor roll recognition is offered to students in grades 6–12.
High Honor Roll — 3.8 to 4.3 GPA, no D’s or F’s
Honor Roll — 3.3 to 3.7 GPA, no D’s or F’s
Standardized testing
In addition to regular subject testing, standardized tests are given twice a year in grades K–8. Individual and class results guide instruction for the child and shape curriculum planning for the school. Results are sent home when available.
Promotion
Promotion decisions rest on report cards, test scores, attendance, developmental readiness and other measures. Where a student is struggling, teachers notify parents early and work with them on summer work, tutoring or other support before a retention decision is ever considered.

Speech services
Speech services are provided in cooperation with the local public school district.
Honest about our limits
Aspire offers limited student support services and is not equipped to meet every special academic, emotional or social need. We would rather say so plainly during admissions than fail a child later.
Homework
Study at home.
The program at Aspire has always required some study at home. It is necessary for meeting the immediate goals of a course, and it builds a habit that later education increasingly demands.
How much homework a student has depends on grade level and on the child’s own ability and study habits. Parents help most by providing encouragement and a quiet place to work — and by resisting the urge to give too much help.
If your child cannot finish an assignment for any reason, send a note so the work can be made up. If assignments are consistently burdensome, tell the teacher so adjustments can be made.
Beyond the Classroom
The rest of school.
- Field trips — students in all grades visit places of educational interest each year
- Library — time for students to pursue individual interests and projects
- Physical education — scheduled gym classes, indoors and out
- Technology — internet access used in support of education and research, under teacher supervision
Coming as the school grows
- School productions, including a Christmas program
- An academic or art fair
- A spelling bee
- Athletics, under a forthcoming athletic handbook
